What is spiritual direction?

Spiritual Direction is a sacred descent into deeper self-knowledge. Through silence, attention, and care, I accompany those deconstructing religion, facing existential questions, or seeking a more personal and embodied spirituality. These sessions are usually an hour long, once a month, and offer a space of holy listening that allows directees to deepen into mystery, create meaning, and reconnect with the sacred on their own terms.

How does it work?

Spiritual direction is part of a long tradition of sacred companionship. Two people meeting regularly to listen for the movement of the sacred in one’s life. While each journey is unique, we’ll begin with a gentle entry and go deeper over time.

We meet for an hour, typically once a month.*

Sessions are grounded in holy listening. It is a calm, spacious time to reflect, notice what’s stirring in your life, and explore your spiritual questions without judgment or agenda.

Each session is shaped by what you bring.

We might spend time in silence, storytelling, dreamwork, meditative inquiry, or other contemplative practices from my background in yoga and meditation.

Between sessions, you’ll have space to reflect & live into what emerged.

I may offer resources, questions, or practices to support you, but always in service to your own inner wisdom.

*Sessions are offered on a sliding scale of $75–150, with a suggested rate of $100 per session. I trust each person to choose a rate that reflects both their financial circumstances and the value of this work in their life.

Meet Ashlie

Hello! I'm a spiritual companion whose own path has been shaped by seasons of doubt, uncertainty, and transformation. Drawing on years of study, teaching, and personal practice, I help people listen for their inner wisdom, navigate life's in-between spaces, and reconnect with what matters most. Here's some of the experience I bring to this work: 

  • Meditation teacher trained in compassion cultivation
  • Certified yoga instructor with additional training in advanced and children's yoga
  • Master's Degree in Philosophy with graduate studies in religion
  • Certified in Spiritual Direction by the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities
